Sometimes Things Happen

Sorry for the unexpected absence!  The only possible explanation is that sometimes, when faced by a choice between hanging from the rafters and taking a little bit of mental vacation, opting for the vacation is the wise choice.  Never fear, though--I'm back, brain (mostly) intact, ready to type!
